A Unified "Cranmerian Rite" Response (But You Have to Scroll Down)
I have combined both the additions I made to the original Cranmer post into a unified post here. I'd appreciate your thoughts on the complete article. In time, I hope it will be archived as a reference article on this blog.
My visit to St. Peter's Fort Worth left me with that very impression: The Liturgy of St. Tikhon is not the BCP. One is not conscious of worshipping in the rite of the BCP, but in an Orthodox church. There was such a significant modification of the rite that no one would leave with any sense of vagueness about the theology of the Orthodox.
