Update on Pope Shenouda III

This blog mentioned some time ago that H.H. Pope Shenouda III, the head of the Coptic Church (Oriental Orthodox), had been reported ill. I'm happy to report he has returned to the public eye, having raised the flag while presiding over the ninth annual North American Annual Coptic Clergy Seminar. The seminar took place at Holy Virgin Mary Spiritual Vineyard in Charlton, Massachusetts, beginning August 28.

It is good to see him in public again, and as the Byzantines say, "God grant him many years."

Deo gratias!

I love his clerical attire! Very patriarchal.
