"The Immemorial Tridentine Mass" Online

Yes! The wonderful film narrated by a Father Fulton J. Sheen about the beauty of the Latin Mass is now available online! You can download it over on YouTube -- if you have a long time to download files.

Better yet, buy a DVD here.

This film from 1941, filmed at the magnificent Basilica of Our Lady of Sorrows, is still, I would submit the best video of the Gregorian Rite.
It is not precious or fussy and relates how the Mass was done when it was the only Mass of the Western Church. There is a beautiful pacing of the Service that is not overly self conscious, but true to the rubrics and ceremonial of High Mass. This is an excellent teaching tool--highly recommended! Msgr. Sheen's (at the time) commentary is brilliant as one would suspect from such a luminary.
